First lets start with things to come...The Software update for all Apple's mobile devices, dubbed by many as iDevices (Jot that down in your notes). The FIRST big update to Apple's newest mobile iOS4 software will be iOS4.2, slated for release at an unspecified date in the very near future. This update has some nice new features & will include some advances Apple has been talking about & some it has managed to keep quite. The new update will include the new Pinger social network inside iTunes Store & available on the new iTunes 10 update on desktops now. (Denload free at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/">APPLE.COM). A new online Gaming resource for playing multi-player games & beating your buddies high scores.
The major advances are linked to the newest iPod Touch(4th Generation). Just as I had predicted a year ago when I had bought my first iPod(a late 2nd Gen. Touch during there promo), this latest edition has some features that will make you discard your 2/3 Gen in the junk drawer or give it to your younger sibling. The BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT is a camera(my specific prediction!), wait, WHAT?! Yes, & not JUST a camera, an HD VIDEO capable camera! But just hold on... THERE'S MORE!!! Not only does it record HD video, but owners of the new iPod Touch will also be able to take advantage of a certain WiFi feature that all those iPhone 4 owners have been using. Wait...no? It couldn't...YEP! A rear facing camera with FACETIME! The new iPod Touch has the same 5mp forward facing camera as the iPhone 4, as well as the rear facing camera! Sorry to all those folkers who already bought one of the now dinosaur iPods without an HD VIDEO CAMERA with FACETIME! Plus features such as the Retina display, the Multi-Touch interface, the accelerometer, the three-axis gyro, accelerated graphics, and most of the same abilities of the iPhone 4!
I almost just left this out, but I figure someone will want to know about the new iPod Nano. It got a major & I mean major overhaul! Totally new look, it's square & has a belt clip. It features the new Apple multi-touch display. Has a tiny little home screen with 4 native apps. OH! and the part you'll really hate!...They removed the BEST FEATURE of the previous model! The video camera! But really the new iPod Touch stole it, big bully! Really though at a starting price of $149 I'd just save a few more ducats & get the 8GB Touch at $229.
Sometimes I hate Apple, but you all new it was coming, right? They make one device SUPER cool, so you buy it... Then they come out with the next Gen model with stripped or modified features & upgrade the next higher priced device, so then you buy that one...& so on. It's kind of like politics, their both A-holes, but one is just alot less of an A-hole, so you pic that one. Although they have the BEST SERVICE & CUSTOMER SUPPORT of ANY company, yet alone a computer/phone/software company. You think if you Microsoft PC FAILS Bill Gates will arrange for a personal appointment to fix your frozen Windows PC? Yeah, RIGHT! Buy Apple, if you don't like the products you don't have to buy them.
